The following six paintings were done in the late Summer and Fall of 1999. Three were were painted in Sedona, and three were painted in the San Diego area. In these works I am going for a stronger personal statement than I have in past paintings. This involves the way I use color, my concern for the paint surface and the spontaneous rhythmic forms I construct. I would be happy to receive your comments.

I am interested in the structure of the land and the space of our world and the forms that inhabit it. I am also interested in color and the interior space of our imaginations. In these paintings my art speaks of nature, color and imagination, and it gives form to renderings of natural objects and some heartfelt super world of color and gesture.
